The buildings in the village of Tarnala, which is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, are of different ages. New buildings have been designed to belnd in with the old-fashioned village structures, and the location of the houses from the lakeshore up to hilltop roads creates an exquisite impression. The best views can be enjoyed from the top of Kuponenmäki Hill, where there is a 'kota' hut and campfire site maintained by the villagers.
