Retro is a youth-hostel-type accommodation facility in a place of outstanding natural beauty on a peninsula in the middle of Lake Simpele. It is located in a command centre built in the functional style, once used by the Border Guard. The spirit of past decades is still strongly present! The diverse range of accommodation facilities is perfect for conferences, training courses and camps. The jewel in Retro's crown is its shallow-water sandy beach, more than one km long!

Accommodation

There are five four-person rooms and four double rooms. All rooms have space for an extra bed. There is a dormitory that can house 18 people. Including extra beds, Retro can accommodate 75 people overnight. There is one cot. The facility contains four saunas, one of which is a beach-side sauna. Up to 40 people can take a sauna at once. Special facilities include a miniature shooting range, a helicopter launch pad and a badminton court.

Available for rental: 5 bicycles in summer, rowing boat, canoe.

Caravan parking spaces

There are six caravan spaces equipped with electric power.

Dining services

Retro provides good home-made cooking, party cakes, coffee and buns. Here you can hold birthday parties, school reunions and other events. Facilities are also very suitable for conferences and training courses for small groups.

More than one hundred people can dine at once. The large hall can seat 80 people and the dining room 36.

Conference services

Retro is very suitable as a location for smaller conferences and meetings. The conference room can accommodate 30-40 people and contains an OHP plus screen.
