Other Historical Sights
By Mikkolanniemi's Story Trail is a cup-marked stone or sacrificial stone, in whose cups people used to leave sacrifices of food. Signposts along the trail show the way to the stone.
There are also cup-marked stones at Myllymäki and Silvu in Parikkala. The Silvu stone is large, volcanic (erratic) boulder about 4mx4mx6m, into the top of which eight cups have been ground. These cups are 6-11 cm in diameter and 2-9 cm in depth. The stone is located on a west-facing slope on top of an ancient field. Boundary marks
Parikkala's eastern border is home to several boundary lines and traces of them can be found on the cliff tops in the form of boundary marks. One example is Paljakanvuori, which has a historical boundary mark dating back to 1722.
