Mikkolanniemi - a centre of activity, culture and camping
The centre is suitable as a venue for all kinds of activities. Parties, camp schools, rural weddings and coach tour groups can be accommodated at the centre. There are 45 beds, 30 of which are in youth-hostel-type accommodation. The rooms in the youth-hostel-type section are equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, coffee percolator and a communal television set. There is also a sauna and WC for the use of residents. Also available are the following apartments: 3 rooms, kitchen, sauna, 81m2 - 2 rooms, kitchen, shower, 61m2 - 4-room apartments for 3-6 persons per room, 6-room apartments for 2-3 persons per room. Extra beds can be placed in the rooms and other facilities. There is also one cot. Pets are permitted in some of the rooms. There is also a table-tennis table, a pool table, a korona table (Finnish game similar to pool), a piano, places for lighting camp fires and a sports field.
Three electrical power points are available for caravans.
Size of conference facilities: smaller room 40 people, larger room 100 people.
The conference facilities are equipped with an OHP and WLAN.
Available for rental: seven pairs of snowshoes
Saunas, description and size: electric sauna for 5 people, wood-burning sauna for 10 people. Pool outside for taking a dip. Nearest beach for swimming about 3 km away.
Reservations can be made for dining for large groups. Guide services and riding can also be booked.
Hiking trails from the centre range from 3 km to 15 km, and ski tracks from 3km to 30 km.
