Local History Museum – Hauta Olli's Hut

The Museo sijamuseum is located in the grounds of the Parikkala Crafts Centre.
Opening times: same as for the Crafts Centre, Mon-Thurs 9am – 5pm, Fri 9am - 2pm. Admission free

"Hauta Olli’s Hut” museum has a collection of farmhouse objects originating from the beginning of the 20th century. The one main room of the building features the furnished interior of a typical Karelian farmhouse from the early 20th century. The bedchamber houses an exhibition illustrating the history of Parikkala. A separate area is devoted to a collection of farmhouse objects dating from the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century; these include churns, baskets, sickles and scythes.
