Parikkala has three churches and one Russian Orthodox chapel. For church opening times and guided tours arranged by the parish.
Lutheran churches
Parikkala Church, which in summer is happy to welcome tourists, was built between 1813 and 1817. The architect was Italian-born Carolo Bassi, who at the time was the State Architect. The beautiful belltower was completed at the same time. This large church can accommodate 1,600 people.
Saari Church, designed by architect Ilmari Launis was built on top of a high hill on the north-east shore of Lake Suur-Rautjärvi. This red-brick church was consecrated in 1934 and holds up to 700 people.
Uukuniemi Church is Parikkala's oldest preserved church, and was consecrated in 1797. The belltower built next to it was completed in 1853.

Orthodox Chapel
The Orthodox Chapel is a prayer room, not consecrated by the Church, and used for moments of silent prayer. The chapel is located by Route 6.
